Who is behind this, and what we want.

Who we are

This campaign is run by Riot Labs Ltd, a British e-liquid manufacturer based in Milton Keynes and a member of the UK Vaping Industry Association. We make vaping products, so we have an interest in how they are regulated. We would rather say that here than have you work it out.

This is a political campaign, not advertising. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, and nothing here is for anyone under 18.

What we want

We back protecting children, and the measures that genuinely do that have our full support. We are asking for:

1. Enforcement of the under-18 sales ban first. Read the evidence on how rarely it is checked.
2. No plain white packs, and no grey-only devices. Block products that appeal to children one by one, instead of making every vape look like a cigarette.
3. A licensed, adult-only specialist retailer class with an inspected, removable display exemption.

Where the numbers come from

Our enforcement figures come from Freedom of Information requests we sent to UK Trading Standards services in July 2026. Twenty-six of thirty were answered. We publish the full dataset, the method and every caveat on the FOI data page. If something there is wrong, tell us and we will correct it and say that we have. The expert quotes on this site are taken from the bodies' own publications and linked to them.

What we do with your data

What you give us is used for this campaign only. Never for marketing, never shared, never sold. There is deliberately no way to opt in to marketing anywhere on this site. The details, including when we delete it, are in the privacy notice.
